Scenic Fishermen’s Memorial State Park Camping, Rhode Island

We are in Rhode Island and camping at Fishermen’s Memorial State Park in Narragansett. I stopped here on my way south because I’m visiting some family members and because it’s a beautiful place.

After leaving Maine we moved south to Rhode Island to visit family here and in Connecticut.

Note; we were required to show Murphy’s rabies proof of vaccination at check-in.

The first few days the weather was awful. We only went outside when absolutely necessary because of the wind and rain. We were able to get out and take some walks when the rain let up. The park is gorgeous with water views from the lower part of the campground. The nasty weather made for some fabulous sunrises and sunsets.

My cousin came by for a visit. She lives in the area. Murphy had a good cuddle with her and was so happy. But, after a few days, our Rhode Island visit was over and we moved to Connecticut to visit my step-daughter and her family.

Moving on to Connecticut

Moochdocking in Connecticut

I always enjoy parking in their driveway and visiting with all of them. It was a short stay because of my November reservations but it was precious time with them.

Connecticut was wearing her beautiful golden fall colors and we went out for a drive toward UCONN to take it all in.

Parked under the golden fall leaves.
