I finally made it to Oklahoma and The Mercantile which is owned and operated by The Pioneer Woman. Last winter I had planned to visit Oklahoma but COVID19 thwarted my plans. This fall I’m here but it’s cold and wet so shopping seems like a great alternative to outdoor activities.

Here in northeast OK there is a little town called Pawhuska where a TV personality named Ree Drummond lives. Ree also goes by The Pioneer Woman on her blog, magazine, Food Network TV series, and her Mercantile and restaurant located here in Pawhuska. Her husband is a rancher and I passed the entrance to Drummond Ranch on the way into town.

I had planned to do a little virtual shopping with my daughter for her birthday but we put that on the back burner until I was in the area. Today was that day.

The Merc, as they call it, has a restaurant downstairs and a bakery upstairs. There is normally a wait of 2+ hours to be seated in the restaurant. I was just there to go shopping so I got right in.

The Mercantile building is quite old, has beautiful old hardwood floors, and a lot of character. I love old, brick buildings.
Honestly, her merchandise was very nice quality. I got myself a new travel cup for my tea and a sticker for my door. I also got Christina a couple of things for her birthday. She’ll have to guess what I got.

We are leaving here tomorrow but I have no idea where we are going. My project for the evening after dumping the tanks, making ice, and finishing laundry is to figure that out.
